Customer Success Stories
Emerson Process Management-CSI
Industry: Reliability Maintenance Hardware & Software
Emerson Process Management-CSI uses kNEWS for client and prospect e-newsletters. The company sells sophisticated test and measuring products and related services.
CSI transitioned its quarterly print newsletter (circulation of 30,000+), to a series of monthly e-newsletters covering eight industry related topics. In the process, they cut $50,000 from their annual marketing budget.
Their electronic newsletter campaign has helped position the company as a “marketplace educator.” Engineers and product managers deliver a steady stream of useful information that enables customers to operate more effectively, save money, and get optimal use of their capital equipment investments. With each issue, they receive comments, questions, and feedback from existing customers as well as a stream of qualified leads.
Their e-newsletters have become a valuable repository of information for solving problems, answering questions, and demonstrating the company’s expertise.

U.S. Olympic Committee – Sports Science & Coaching Division
Industry: Nonprofit
The United States Olympic Committee (USOC) Coaching Division is using kNEWS to increase the reach of its popular USOC Coach Magazine (print). The USOC Coach E-Magazine offers articles, topics, and best practices to help its partners–coaches, athletes, administrators, and National Governing Bodies (NGBs)–in different sports, improve their knowledge and skills.
Since the USOC Coach Magazine is strictly an educational service, the USOC had no way to increase distribution without incurring additional cost. The 20 page color magazine is mailed to a subscriber base of 6,000 people every quarter at a cost of approximately $7,000.
Using kNEWS, the USOC can now reach a significantly larger audience across the U.S. and the world. Since kNEWS was implemented, the Coaching Division has registered more than 4000 subscribers, and that subscriber base continues to grow.
