kNEWS Professional requires IBM Lotus Notes and IBM Lotus Domino R5.0.x or 6.x.x and good connectivity to the Internet or your Intranet. kNEWS will run on all Domino supported platforms including:

- Solaris
- OS/2
In order for individuals to subscribe to e-mail list groups created with ListBuilder, the Domino server must be accessible via the Internet. A Lotus Notes client is used for administering the ListBuilder application.
